(Washington, DC) — In conjunction with the third annual National Entrepreneurship Week, the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) celebrates the small and local business owners in the District of Columbia, whose enterprises contribute to the economic health of the city.
This week, DSLBD highlights “Exploring Entrepreneurship,” one of the agency’s many free workshops given in its Enhanced Business Information Center (eBIC) at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library on 901 G Street, NW.
“Exploring Entrepreneurship” is a monthly class that provides an opportunity for emerging and existing entrepreneurs to learn about the ins and outs of self-employment and entrepreneurship and gain tools to evaluate their business ideas and current business endeavors.
The next class will take place from 12 pm to 1 pm on Wednesday, February 25, 2009. This particular class will be recorded live for a podcast. The podcast and workshop materials will be available for online download on the websites of DSLBD and the DC Public Library in the near future.
To register for the class or to find out about other business start-up and development courses, please call (202) 727-2241 or stop by the eBIC.
DSLBD serves members of the local business community all year round via many different initiatives, including a regular schedule of educational courses, a business certification program, and business development and commercial revitalization assistance.
