(Washington, DC) - The Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) is poised to assist local businesses with taking advantage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). As the District of Columbia begins to receive these funds and invest in the city, DSLBD will work to ensure that Certified Business Enterprises (CBEs) get their share of the spending. DSLBD will coordinate with the District agencies that receive funds to ensure that any department purchases are meeting the minimum 50 percent required expenditure with CBEs.
