(Washington, DC) — On Wednesday, April 22 at 5:30 pm in Conference Room 1107 of 441 4th Street, NW, the Department of Small and Local Business Development (DSLBD) will host an informational meeting for its 12-week 2009 CBE Bonding and Access to Capital Training Program.
The free program is designed to advise Certified Business Enterprises participants about business loans and/or surety bonds and prepare them for receiving such loans and bonds.
Training sessions will begin on May 12th and take place each Tuesday evening for 12 weeks. SunTrust Bank, 1445 New York Avenue, NW, will host the first four weeks of accessing capital classes from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The following eight weeks of bonding courses will occur at One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street, NW from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.
Lee Smith, DSLBD’s director, along with members of the agency’s Business Opportunities and Access to Capital Division and representatives from banking institutions and the bonding industry, will give remarks at the meeting and explain in further detail the 2009 CBE Bonding and Access to Capital Training Program.
