OPGD Offers Advice on Using Grant Consultants

(WASHINGTON, DC) The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development (OPGD) offers guidance and resources to help nonprofit and faith-based organizations consider the benefits of hiring professional writers, identify prospective consultants, and work effectively with the hired grant writers.

Grants allow nonprofit organizations to create innovative programs, fill service gaps, and expand their services to underserved populations. However, identifying, preparing and winning grants, whether federal or private, can be challenging. A qualified, professional grant writer with past experience and proven success can take the burden of coordinating the grant development process and assist your organization in ensuring that you have a technically sound proposal.

If your nonprofit or faith-based organization is ready to take advantage of the services of a professional grant consultant, there are a number of things you need to know in order to maximize your impact.

For more information about identifying and working with grant consultants to raise funds for programs that serve the residents of the District of Columbia, contact the Office of Partnerships and Grants Development at (202) 727-8900.
