Workshop Available on Common Grant Application

(Washington, DC) The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development announces a workshop on preparing foundation proposals using the Washington Grantmakers common grant application. More than 50 foundations in the Washington Metropolitan Area require the Washington Grantmakers common grant application format. The common grant application was developed to make grant seeking easier by enabling organizations to create one standard proposal. Margie Siegel of the England Family Foundation and Alex Carter of the Jensen Foundation will provide hands-on training.

Representatives from the Metro DC Nonprofit Capacity Builders group will also be available at the workshop to provide information about their services. Representatives from the Washington Council of Agencies, SALSA, Foundation Center of Washington, Board Source, Greater DC Cares, Technology Works for Good, Maryland Association of Nonprofits, University of the District of Columbia, George Mason University, The Cultural Alliance and many more will be in attendance.

Reservations are required and space is limited. To register, download a registration form and mail or fax it to the Office of Partnerships and Grants Development as described on the form. For further information, contact Pat Henry in the Office of Partnerships and Grants Development at (202) 727-0946 or pat.henry@dc.gov.
