A single document with information on all District grants announced in 2001 is now available.
(WASHINGTON, DC) The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development (OPGD) released a "2001 District Grants Review" publication of grants announced from across the Government of the District of Columbia. The new tool will assist development officers and program managers in social service organizations and community groups with strategic planning and revenue projections.
The Government of the District of Columbia awards over $40 million per year in grants to nonprofit, community and faith-based organizations in order to provide services to residents of the District of Columbia. Since many of the District's grants to the community are funded through federal funds that are available annually, a majority of the following announcements likely will be repeated in 2002. Often, however, the target population or particular service model varies from year to year.
The publication includes 2001 grant announcements from the DC Department of Health, DC Public Schools, Department of Human Services, DC Commission on Arts and Humanities and others. Each announcement includes contact information.
