Mayor's Office Offers Grant Writing Workshop

(Washington, DC) The Mayor's Office of Partnerships and Grants Development has joined with the Washington Council of Agencies to provide instruction in grant writing to citizen groups and nonprofit organizations serving residents of the District of Columbia.

A Grant Proposal Triathlon

Location of Meeting: Southeastern University, 501 Eye Street, SW, Washington, DC
(near the Waterfront/Green Line Metro Stop)

The workshop is designed to be a "triathlon" for beginning grant writers, in which training will be provided on applying for Federal government grants, District government grants, and foundation grants. The day-long program will also feature short presentations from capacity-building organizations and opportunities for informal networking.

The Washington Council of Agencies is a membership organization of nonprofit organizations based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The Washington Council of Agencies provides advocacy and community building activities, educational and networking opportunities, and group-buying purchasing power. Membership is open to any 501(c) organization in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Founded in 1979, WCA currently has nearly 775 members.
