(Washington, DC) - The District of Columbia’s Office of Property Management (OPM) is seeking 175-185,000 square feet of Metro-accessible general office space available by the first quarter of 2010. The space would be used by the Child and Family Service Administration (CFSA), the public agency that protects child victims and children that are at risk of abuse or neglect.
As specified by OPM (on the Solicitation Details webpage) the space must be available for a term of 10 years or more, have parking for one car per 1,500 rentable square feet and be within 2,000 yards of a Metro Station. The owner or agent must also state the rent (on a full service basis per rentable square feet), describe in detail the condition of the space (e.g. shell, new, awaiting tenant build-out, and/or some improvements in place) and provide relevant terms, including a possible purchase option.
CFSA is organized into several offices and administrations which provide four basic functions; child protective services, supportive family services, foster care, and permanence (the act of providing permanent homes for children through adoption, guardianship, or returning home to their birth parents). These functions are implemented by CFSA’s offices and administrations that will occupy this space.
Interested individuals with qualifying properties must complete all of the forms on OPM’s website under “Solicitations for Offers.” The forms can be returned electronically to Chafulah Abdullah, by fax to (202) 727-9877 or by regular mail to:
