(Washington, DC) - The Office of Property Management (OPM) has issued a Request for Offers (RFO) to lease nine sites across the District to be used as child development facilities. 

As described in the RFO, OPM is looking for respondents that demonstrate a creative and viable approach for each site, a track record of offering high quality child development, the financial capacity to execute the proposed program and a commitment to opportunities for local, small and disadvantaged businesses and jobs for District residents.

RFO responses are due by 5 pm EDT, May 18, 2009, delivered to Office of Property Management, ATTN: Chafula Abdullah, 2000 14th Street NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20009

The anticipated evaluation timetable is:  RFO issued: April 27, 2009; pre-submission meeting: Friday, May 1, 2009, 9:30 am, Community Room, 2nd floor, rear, Reeves Center, 2000 14th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20009; site visits: TBA; offers due: May 18, 2009, 5 pm; notification: June, 2009.

The nine sites are:

1. Bald Eagle – 390 square feet at 100 Joliet Street, SW
2. Banneker – 2,880 square feet at 800 Euclid Street, NW
3. Benning Park – 5,339 square feet at 5100 Fitch Street, SE
4. Fort Greble – 1,647 square feet at Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue & Elmira, SW
5. G Street – 5,467 square feet at 3030 G Street, SE
6. Kenilworth-Parkside – 5,113 square feet at 4300 Anacostia Avenue, NE
7. New York – 3,841 square feet at 100 N Street, NW
8. Randall – 1,289 square feet at 820 South Capitol Street, SW
9. Rose Park – 1,512 square feet 2600 O Street, NW
