(Washington, DC) - The Office of Property Management (OPM) has issued a Request for Offers (RFO) to lease three former schools, Birney Elementary School at 2501 Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, SE, Rabaut Junior High School at 100 Peabody Street, NE, and Webb Elementary School at 1375 Mt. Olivet Road at, NE. The RFO is only open to eligible parties under applicable law, primarily charter schools.  The proposals will be evaluated based on several criteria, including the organization’s financial viability and demonstrated financial capacity to execute the proposed program.

RFO responses are due by noon, June 12, 2009, delivered to the Office of Property Management, Attn: Althea Holford, 2000 14th Street, NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20009.

The anticipated evaluation timetable is: RFO issued, Monday, May 18, 2009; site visits, May 27, 28, and 29, (exact time and details will be posted no later than May 26), offers due June 12, no later than noon, notification, July, 2009.
