(Washington, DC) The Office of the Secretary announces the 2007 Cherry Blossom Poster Contest. Students in District schools are invited to submit posters on this year's theme: Cherry Blossom: Saluting a World Class City, Communities and Friendship.

ELIGIBILITY
Students in DC Public and Private Charter Schools, grades 1 – 12
GUIDELINES
1. Size 18 x 24 inches (Elementary Grades)
2. Size 8 ½ x 11 inches or larger (Secondary Grades)
3. No limitations on media; “anything” that best typifies theme, i.e. fabric, paste-on, glitter, markers, watercolor, oil, crayon, etc. may be used.
4. Poster must be stiff or firm, not paper (for display purposes).
5. Secondary Grades may use digital computer-generated art.
6. Please include the theme on poster.
7. Prepared lettering is accepted.
8. Attach the following information to the back of each poster (use the entry form* provided and print information): student’s name, social security number, home address and telephone number, age, grade, school, principal’s name and art teacher’s name.
