Observing Congress’ call to make September 11 a national day of public service, Mayor Adrian M. Fenty has proclaimed Tuesday, September 11, 2007 as “Patriot Day,” urging all residents of the District of Columbia to memorialize September 11 by engaging in acts of community service or other good deeds, as part of a national day of recognition and tribute.
