(Washington, DC) The Office of the Secretary, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Technology Officer, is pleased to announce the first step in the implementation of the Electronic Document Management (EDM) program which will significantly improve the District government’s ability to provide efficient, accountable and customer-oriented service. 

The EDM Program will make the jobs of all District employees easier by creating a coordinated secure strategy to capture, manage, and store electronically all the documents used by the Government of the District of Columbia.  After a period of study review, FileNet has been named the Enterprise Content Management technology standard for the District of Columbia.
