The Office of Public Records (OPR) is now under the direction of Mark Mandel, a Certified Records Manager. OPR is responsible for managing the District of Columbia’s historical, permanent, and temporary public records, which are held in the DC Records Center and the DC Archives, located in the Blagden Alley/Naylor Court Historic District in the Shaw neighborhood.
The OPR is moving toward digitizing many processes and files in order to better serve District agencies and the public, while learning from the best practices in the Records and Information Management field.
