Today, the Office of the Secretary of the District of Columbia discovered that some applications for the Voting Rights Grant monies, which had been submitted prior to the February 15 deadline, had not been delivered to the office due to a technical error.

Out of an abundance of caution, and to ensure that the grant process is fair to all applicants, we have decided to re-open the application period for two (2) weeks.  All applicants will be given the opportunity to resubmit during the two week window, and we will accept any new applications that arrive before 5:00 pm on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.

All applications must conform to the original rules set forth in the Request For Applications.  Applications must be emailed to secretary@dc.gov, and naomi.shelton@dc.gov.
