With moderately high humidity, the heat index may approach 105° for several hours. A Heat Emergency will be declared in DC. Relevant government agencies should plan appropriate responses for tomorrow.

In an effort to offer relief from the sweltering heat today, DPR will extend hours to 7 pm at all outdoor pools and to 6 pm at indoor pools.
