(Washington, DC) The Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR) announced today that its 2009 Tax Sale, scheduled for September 9 to 11, has been postponed until further notice.

A legal challenge has been made to the District’s right to set a threshold for the sale of delinquent real property taxes. Consequently, the District is reviewing its legal authority to set a threshold for the tax sale.
