(Washington DC) Taxpayers are now able to provide financial assistance to the offices of the District’s Statehood Delegation by donating $1 or more to the District’s Statehood Delegation Fund on their 2005 DC individual income tax return.
Taxpayers who are filing paper returns can contribute to the fund by writing “Statehood” and the amount of their contribution at the bottom of Form D-40EZ or the bottom of page 2 of Form D-40. The contribution will either decrease their refund or increase the amount owed.
In addition, contributions to the fund can be made by submitting a D-40PS Payment Voucher for Statehood Donations along with a check. "Statehood" should be written on the check.
