OUC Earns Platinum Award Status for One Fund Campaign Contributions

(Washington, DC) The Office of Unified Communications (OUC) attained Platinum Award status for achieving 219.63 percent of its dollar goal for the agency’s participation in the 52nd Annual District of Columbia One Fund Campaign.

Employees from across the agency pledged their support to not-for-profit, charitable organizations in the Washington area through the drive, contributing nearly $66,000 to the campaign, themed 52 Years of Giving from One District; Diverse and United, to sustain the important work of the One Fund organizations. The tireless efforts of Colleen Dreher-King, Travis Dupree and Shirley Taylor enabled the OUC to meet and exceed the agency’s gift goal. Each worked to rally new participants and to collect contributions, unifying all employees to achieve the agency’s common objective.

“I am so proud of what the OUC has accomplished,” said Dreher-King. "This agency is filled with compassionate and giving employees and reaching platinum status is proof of that. Next year will be even better.”

The One Fund is the District government’s only official charitable fundraiser. DC government employees pledge their support annually to not-for-profit, charitable organizations in the Washington area through this program. The campaign administrators are the United Black Fund of Greater Washington, DC and the United Way of the National Capital Area.
