District Soldier Keisha Morgan Dies in Iraq

Spc. Keisha M. MorganSpc. Keisha M. Morgan of Washington, DC died February 22, 2008 of non-combat injury while enlisted in the United States Army and serving a second tour in Iraq. Morgan, 25, was assigned to the Division Special Troops Battalion, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas.

Survivors include mother Dianne Morgan, father Michael Morgan Sr., two brothers, Michael and David Morgan, a sister Brittany Novack, an aunt, uncles, a niece and nephews.

The funeral and viewing will be conducted by Rev. A.L Gault, Sunday, March 2, 2008, from 3 to 5 pm at Pope Funeral Homes. The burial will be March 3, 2008 at 10 am in Arlington National Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 8 am for the procession. Pope Funeral Homes is handling the arrangements.
