Learn About the Building Blocks of a Healthy Community

(Washington, DC) -  Join the DC Office of Planning on June 20, 2009 at the Koshland Science Museum's Family Day program, titled "Built for Better Health: Improving Manmade Environments," to learn about the building blocks of a healthy community. OP will debut its Healthy by Design Index - an interactive, computer-based tool that helps people identify healthy eating and active living resources in their neighborhoods. OP's booth will also feature fun activities for kids to learn how to plan and develop healthy communities.

The event is free and open to the public. No registration is required. The Koshland Science Museum is located at the corner of 6th and E streets, NW, in downtown Washington, DC, within walking distance of the Judiciary Square (Red Line) and Gallery Place/Chinatown (Red/Yellow/Green Line) Metro stations.
