(Washington, DC)  The term Hispanic, as defined by the US Census Bureau, refers to Spanish-speaking people in the United States of any race. The data presented in this monthly brief were obtained from the Current Population Survey (CPS) 2004 conducted by the US Census Bureau each month. This household survey is designed to produce results at the national level only. Although adequate current data on the Hispanic population was not available at the local level, local insights can be draw from the national data since they tend to follow similar paths.
