DC State Board of Education Holds Public Meeting on June 18

(Washington, DC)  On Wednesday, June 18th, the DC State Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled weekly meeting.  At the meeting, the State Board will be voting on state policies for supplemental education service providers operating in the District of Columbia.  There will also be an advisory vote on the proposed annual school report card redesign.  Additionally, there will be presentations on special education reform, teacher quality, and the state’s persistently dangerous schools policy.

The meeting will begin at 5:30 pm at 441 4th Street, NW, in the Old Council Chambers on the ground floor.

Constituents who wish to comment at the meeting are required to contact the State Board of Education prior to the meeting by calling State Board of Education Executive Director Beverley Wheeler at (202) 741-0888 or email her at Beverley.Wheeler@dc.gov before close of business on Monday, June 16.

The meeting will air live on DSTV Comcast Channel 99 and RCN Channel 18.
