The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) has drafted a set of proposed state-level discipline regulations that will apply to all DC Public Schools and public charter schools in the District of Columbia. 

The proposed regulations outline what local education agencies (LEAs) should include in their own student discipline policies. The proposed regulations would require each LEA to establish student discipline policies that aim to address discipline in a manner which allows students to continue their educational path within the school environment wherever possible.
