The Office of the State Superintendent of Education plans to request from the U.S. Department of Education a waiver to extend the period of availability of Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2008 School Improvement Grant funds for two additional years.

LEAs wishing to comment on this waiver request should submit their comments in writing to osse.comments@dc.gov by 5:00 P.M. on Friday, October 1, 2010.  Any comments submitted will be submitted, without identifying information, to the U.S. Department of Education on Friday, October 8, 2010.
